She-Villar showed support for Social Workers

Pearlmont Hotel, CDO- Congresswoman Cynthia Villar wife of NP’s (Nationalista Party) Presidential bet, Senator Manny Villar showed support and concern about the plight of every Filipino social worker here.


Congresswoman Villar who planed in the morning said that women and social worker will be her concern if ever she will seat as the first lady of the land. Villar was accompanied by another wife, Mrs. Mariflor Azcarraga Querubin, wife of Col Ariel Querubin who is a senatorial bet for the party.


In her message, the she-Villar said that if ever she will take the frontline in malacañang she will see to it that women’s advocacy and the social worker will be one of her priority.


“Oo, ito’y laban nang ating kababa-ihan, at kung sakali ako ang nasa malacañang na, Ang pagbibigay lakas at suporta sa ating kababa-ihan kasali na ang ating mga social worker na araw at gabii ay tumutulong sa ating mga nanganga-ilangan mga kapwa Pilipino, lalu na an ating mahihirap ay akong uunahin.(in the tagalong vernacular)”She said.


Congresswoman Villar as a prime mover for the women rights advocacy is helping his husband to let know what her husband thinks of leading the nation into a new republic. The concern of Senator Villar on women rights, the OFW’s and the weary government workers like the social workers.


“Katulad ni Senador Villar, siya ay nagsimula sa hirap, ngunit sa pagtiyaga niya siya naging isang mabuting opisyal nang bayan, sa ngaun siya ang dapat tularan. And in governance, the poor are his priority.” she adds.


The congresswoman came in behalf of her husband, senator Manny Villar as the keynote speaker during the 6th Inter-Regional Convention of social workers hosted by the Philippine Association of Social Workers in the Philippines (PASWI) with this years theme; “Solidarity and Excellence in Social Work, Synergizing Social Work for Peace and Development in Mindanao”.


The convention were participated by social workers all over the country from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.
