CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY - (Nov 27) - Cagayan de Oro City’s second district congressman Rufus Rodriguez announced yesterday the arrival of a fire truck worth Nine Million Pesos from the Office of the Fire Bureau, and whose funds are taken from DILG. The turn over ceremony was held at Nazareth Barangay Hall.
Rodriguez said the fire truck was one of the three fire trucks that will be arriving soon in the city. It can carry over 1,000 gallons of water in one way alone if need to control fire occurrence in the city.
“We are very thankful from the Bureau of Fire office because we were able to facilitate the release of this brand new fire truck,” Rodriguez said.
The city’s accusation of fire trucks is a welcome development as the city has been experiencing fire occurrences in the past months.

“We have to thank all the people behind this worthwhile undertaking so that we can always protect the lives and properties of our people,” the barangay chairperson chief said.
Rodriguez said earlier this year five fire trucks were also received by the city to augment the needs for fire control.
The city has been hit by many fires every year and many lives were also lost out of this fire, it was learned.
