Hardest hit was Misamis Oriental, from the western part to the eastern, where barangays were flooded knee-deep as well as several portions of the national highway that are still impassable today. Landslides were also reported in Misamis Oriental and Bukidnon.
Provincial government officials led by Vice Gov. Norris Babiera have visited the areas to assess the situation. Provincial Board member Peter Unabia said they have started distributing relief goods especially to the hardest hit residents of the province. The goods consisted mostly of food items.

Residents of the river islands have evacuated to higher grounds as their places of residence remain under water and the river’s rampaging waters have not subsided. Some subdivisions are also flooded as well as low portion of the national highway traversing the city from east to west.
At the Lapasan highway, an ambulance from Bukidnon ferrying a child to be brought to a Cagayan de Oro hospital got stuck in the floodwaters. The child died.
The city’s officials led by Mayor Constantino Jaraula and Vice Mayor Vicente Emano are leading rescue and relief efforts in the calamity-hit areas.
