By Jun Corgue, PIA-Pagadian

Pagadian City - In response to the national government’s call to conduct Epidemic and Alert Response (EAR) on the AH1N1, the City Government of Pagadian through the City Health Office (CHO) will conduct a 1-day orientation and re-echo seminar on disease surveillance to health personnel, May 28 at the said office.

City Health Officer Dr. Noel E. Ceniza said 39 health personnel of CHO will be attending the orientation/re-echo seminar which includes the following: 2 physicians, 6 registered nurses, 26 midwives, and 5 sanitary inspectors.

It can be recalled that on May 22, CHO sent 2 registered nurses to Zamboanga City to attend the emergency meeting called by Dr. Aristedes Tan, Director IV of the Department of Health-Center for Health and Development (DOH-CHD) to implement Health Management Structure for the dreaded influenza A (H1N1).

The vital information that will be learned by the health personnel during the said activity will be re-echoed to the barangay health workers for them to spread the information to the local folks.
