Pagadian City – A suspect of a “Balut” vendor killing recently surrendered to authorities.
In an police update, due to the Philippine National Police pressure and pursuit operation conducted led by City COP Police Chief Inspector Michael Palermo, a certain Victor “vicvic” Tomboc y Castro, 36 years old, married a self-employed and resident of Purok Darussalam, Sta.Lucia this city voluntary surrender last June 23 and now facing homicide charges docketed as I.S. IX-05-INV-09F-000122 at the city prosecution and languishing in the city lock-up cell for proper disposition.
It may be recalled that two “balut” vendor after a break in their livelihood came to JH Enterprises to rest in pavement, suddenly unidentified suspect without apparent reason rushed in and fire a caliber 45 pistol to the two vendors namely; Junifer Mipiranum y Castillano, 35 years old and a resident of Sto Nino and companion a certain Primer dales y Mallin, 34 years old of same address who the latter suffered only slight injuries but the former who was hit in his right upper chest died on the spot.
In the police incident report futher disclosed that the two vendors were resting in the said establishment when the suspect, according to witnesses more or less 30 years old, wearing a t-shirt, medium built, and stands 5 ‘3’’ in height fired at close range to the two without any provocation and disappeared riding in a motorcycle towards undisclosed direction.
Three spent empty shells of the caliber was found by police investigators, the injured vendor was rushed to a nearby hospital while the vendor who died was claim by his relatives and brought to a funeral parlor in the city.
In an interview with City PNP Director Chief Inspector Palermo said that the police is filing charges to the suspect who voluntarily surrender and further said that, “We want to let the public knows that their police authorities are here to help and will always in their minds to protect and serve the populace, victims may be rich or poor as long as evidence warrants we will help them all the way, the culprits must be brought to the courts and bring justice to the victims.”
In another police accomplishment, a estranged wife of a policeman was caught red handed in a drug trade thru a buy bust operation conducted by the joint effort of the city based Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and the City PNP.
The suspect was identified as a certain Arlyn Sissay y Dagupan, 49 years old and a resident of Alviar Apartment Maria Bana St., (ext), this city.
The suspect, police authorities disclosed that while she was to deliver two sachets of heat sealed plastic with white crystal like substance suspected to be Methamphetamine Hydrochloride or other wise known as “shabu” along a shell gasoline station near the SMC college annex was apprehended by the joint operations. Said dangerous drugs worth 1,000 and 500 each sachet.
The suspect is now under police custody and an appropriate charge in the violation of R.A. 9165 is now being prepared for submission to the City Prosecutors’ Office.
