Maranao Suspect is now under Investigation in the Iligan City Bombing.

Iligan City – Mayor Lawrence Lluch Cruz confirmed after the Iligan Blast, that a maranao had been tagged as the suspect that planted an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) inside a Mitshubishi Lancer Sedan Car color red parked along Cabili and Sabayle St, last Tuesday morning, July 7.

Cruz further disclosed that a full police investigation is now conducted wherein the suspect came from Marawi City and alledgely put a carton box inside the car and immediatey hide in a gasoline station near the blast scene minutes before it went off.

Accordingly what made Mayor Cruz publicly confirmed about the said suspect because of some witness that told him discreetly.

"Giasoy sa mga testigo nga nagdali paglakaw padulong sa likod nga bahin sa gasoline station ang maong lalaki",(in visayan dialect)

Witnesses said that the said suspect immediately walk fast to the back wall of the gasoline station near the bombing scene. Said Mayor Lawrence Cruz.

The said IED was made from an 81 MM Mortar and damage a a sedan car, a military jeep and injured its passengers with other victims and now confined at different hospitals in Iligan City.

Mayor Cruz also believes that the Iligan city bombing was done by the Special Operation group of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front(MILF) wherein the said suspect was a member.
