City PNP on the move against criminalities

Pagadian City – The Pagadian City Finest’s under its new chief of police has jointly operating with other enforcement agencies in no letting up on its campaign against crimes and the proliferation of illegal drugs, particularly the dreaded “shabu” and other substances.

With its new installed OIC Chief of Police P/ CInspector Michael Pineda Palermo, who started his career as a PNPA graduate had prove his worth in police actions against criminality. Before transferring to the city police force PCI Palermo has been a professional police officer and a gentleman. With his stint with the 905^th PMG as Deputy Director under then Group Director PSI Oscar Buenaobra, he was always in the frontline in the campaign against illegal drug proliferation.

In Dumalinao, as the town chief of police he has caused the arrest of a long time fugitive who hides from captivity in Barangay Rebokon, to face the charges of hold-up robbery case for the past ten years. The suspect, Danilo Dedal Lourdes, 51 years old was a former member of the Philippine Army and a resident of Kabacan, Matina, Davao was arrested under the virtue of warrant of arrest issued by RTC Branch 3 of Compostela Valley for the crime of highway robbery with CC No J2002-3307. Said suspect was involved in the PCI-EB Bank Van Highway heist involving 7-M.

As he take over as OIC COP of the Pagadian City Police from PSI Parson Asadil, PCI Palermo again made some changes to his new assignment from police administration to operations and no let up in operating against illegal drug and other substances, and other criminality like robbery, carnapping, illegal gambling, and other petty crimes to include traffic management within the city and its 54 Barangay.

This week, PCI Palermo with the support and in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and the 905^th Provincial Mobile Group under PCI Alikhan Yusop collared and caught red handed a 15 year old suspect thru a drug buy bust operation in a hotel this city.

In said operation, a certain Nasra Onsing Y Aluidin, jobless, a resident of Purok Sunshine, Santiago District was caught inside Socran Hotel with sachets of suspected crystallize substance or otherwise known as “shabu”, with aluminum foils, and disposable lighters’ and the mark money used in the drug buy bust operation.

“We know in fact that because of the new law against young violators or the Juvenile Law, Drug syndicates are now using younger generation to do the job, however, we will never let up in capturing and apprehending this suspects and still, we will file cases against those who violates R.A. 9165 or otherwise known as the Dangerous Drug Act. Let the courts decide to this, we in the Police will not stop in this kind of operations.” PCI Palermo said.

In other development, a suspected carnapper with warrant of arrest was captured thru the supervision of the newly installed OIC COP of the City Police and SPO1 Marlon Amorganda and warrant server PO3 Mauro Ortega in a special operation.

The suspect was identified as Peter Tan Y Manghay, 75 years old, widower, jobless and a resident of Purok Sili, Barangay Danlugan, this city last April 5, 2009 with WOA under RTC Branch 20 with CC No. 7102-2K4 with the violation against PD1612 or the Anti-Fencing Law and CC No 7103-2K4 for Anti-Carnapping Law. However said crimes are bail able, the suspect is charge with bail amounting to 40-T for the anti-fencing law and 180-T for the anti-carnapping law.

Meanwhile, The Provincial Anti-Illegal Drug Special Operations Task Force (PAIDSOTF) of the Zamboanga Del Sur PNP Command PD P/SSupt Ramon M. Ochotorena has started its campaign against illegal drug trade in the whole province. The Task Force was created to fast track and intensifies the campaign against illegal drug proliferation.
