Cagayan de Oro – More or less One hundred (100) street kids received Christmas presents from the SSS Foundation, a non-government organization focused to help street children here in this city. SSS means Save the Kids, Save our Future, Share our Smile, is foundation established for years now to help and support street children that needs affection and attention.
Ms. Irene Mercado Anibong, who used to be a media practitioner, focuses her attention to these children. “For years now SSS foundation had help street kids, especially during Christmas Season were we can see them roaming around begging for ”Pinaskuhan” (Christmas gifts) from passengers, of jeepneys, private cars, and even the poor motorela drivers.” She said.
Pitiful as she is, Ms. Anibong came to her mind to leave her media profession and focus to help these children thru establishing a non-government organization and find financial support to help her to get involved in saving the kids, saving their future, and share their smiles.
This week as Christmas Season had begun, SSS Foundation started to gather street kids and give them some food, toys as Christmas present. “This year with some our benefactor like, friends from the Media of Cagayan de Oro, DD toys.
